How to Apply

Step 1 — Apply for PhD admission. Create an account at apply.aus.edu and complete the Application for Graduate Admission.

Step 2 — Request assistantship consideration On the application form, tick the box requesting consideration for assistantship and answer all related questions. This is the only way to be considered — there is no separate application window.

Step 3 — Submit supporting documents Along with your admission application, submit:

  • Relevant academic transcripts (Bachelor's and Master's)

  • Two reference letters

  • All other required admission documents for your PhD programme

Submit everything to the Office of Enrollment Management by the application deadline specified for your programme.

Step 4 — Await notification After receiving your letter of admission, your programme coordinator or department head will notify you via email about the assistantship decision and award details. You must respond within a specified period to confirm your acceptance, after which a contract is issued by the Office of Graduate Studies.
